Are You Afraid of the Dark?

After a few weeks of Avery climbing out of her bed constantly during naps and bedtime to turn on the light, we discovered that she may be hitting the being "afraid of the dark" stage.
So, we invested in one of these-the GloMate-and voila, she stays in her bed with her new glowing buddy:)

Today we had a little ND get-together with my family (Jake leaves for basic in 3 weeks, so we're trying to do lots of family stuff) and, per his request, I made my red velvet cupcakes...and decorated them with a Halloween theme:)

Avery missed her first day of preschool due to being sick:( So, she went to the doctor, got all of her flu vaccinations and had the clear to start school!
She got to start Wednesday, and wanted to take her blanket and Baby Ariel with her...luckly, she went to class without them but they were moral support on the ride there! Sadly, the rest of her class was out sick that day and it was just her, so hopefully Monday will be a better experience!!

Enjoy Your Weekend!

What cute cupcakes!! And very cute nightlight- I've never seen that before. I can't believe Avery is going to school already! How many days does she go for? Is it while you are working (did you start up again yet?). Hope you guys stay healthy! We really have to get together soon- when we get unpacked I want to have everyone over for a little reunion- it would be awesome to see all of our kids together;)
Have a great week!
Love,
C:)

Looks like yummy cupcakes!! I think I too need a glow buddy - that is SO cool! I am with Avery on this one- the dark is no fun!

Here's to hoping everyone has recovered and she has a full preschool class tomorrow!

That night light is so cool. I have never seen one like it. Glad that has resolved Avery's sleeping challenges. My girls take turns running out of their beds and doing laps around the room. Maybe I will have to try one of those things.

Super cute cupcakes. I bet they were delicious.

I hope Avery enjoys school. How exciting.

Yeah, the night light is so great. It actually lasts for 10 hrs off the charger! It has about 5 color settings and it just puts out a soft glow so she takes it to bed with her and it stays on all night!

@christine: We did put Avery in a preschool program at a church by our house...hoping that it stimulates her and she can play with kids her own age! She only goes 2 days a week from 9-11:15, but it has been really nice for her so far!!
