Tonight we took the kids to get their 6 month and 2 year pictures taken. Lesson learned, we will never be doing both at the same time! I am nothing short of absolutely exhausted. Spencer was excellent. Avery just wanted to run all over the place. We were trying to pick all the pictures we were going to get and I had to corral Avery constantly. The place was packed with families getting Christmas pictures. Despite the anxiety (and my tearful breakdown in the aftermath of what I deemed a night showcasing just how terrible my parenting skills are), we got amazing shots of the kids! They are pretty darn cute, enjoy!

Those pictures are adorable! The kids look great and I love all their outfits. You are a great mom so don't stress about the day. I think they pump something into the air at portrait studios which causes children to lose their minds. Mine are always crazy during portraits.
Those are really great pictures. :)
SO CUTE! I love the boots and the hats- PERFECT:) and even braver as a mom to get two year old pics done- I have given up after Luke:)
WAY TO GO STEPH! (and you are a great mom!!)
Precious!!! The outfits are amazing- you did a fantastic job- and you'd never guess the kiddos were anything but sweetly sitting down, smiling for the camera;)
Love,
C:)
Oh my goodness are those pictures perfect! All of the chaos was worth it to get shots like that! I love Avery's boots ;> Colten has the same sweater vest and wore it for Thanksgiving - love his hat. Those pics of him smiling melt my heart, and Avery looks so grown up and graceful in hers. I hope we get some of these pictures!
I was laughing while reading your blog because I was just talking to Tom about taking pictures with Colten. I always schedule them for a time when he is usually wake and happy but it never fails, on picture day he is cranky and tired. The joys! Miss you and love you all!
One more thing - I love the pic of Avery and Spencer in the duck tub and can't believe it either. Colten's broke so he has graduated to the regular tub!
These pictures are beautiful! I'd never guess that you had any difficulty getting them, you did a great job! It was well worth it.
Steph,
Totally worth the craziness you endured... those pics are Precious :) I can't believe how big they are getting.

Despite your self-proclaimed bad parenting skills- which I am sure is NOT accurate- you sure do have some cute pictures!! (and of course kids!)
Don't worry - last weekend at the aquarium I can't tell you how many dirty looks I got as I followed Dylan around begging him to go see his daddy when Brian had to stop for a few moments to deal with work stuff and I had to fend for myself with a stubborn and determined toddler who I cannot pick up- yeah- fun! Whatever- other people's opinions are NOT what matter!
