Blah is kind of how I felt this week. As such, there aren't many pictures-mostly because there wasn't a whole lot to take pictures of! I did not experience this with Avery, but this pregnancy, I have had issues with swelling. I hear most people talk about their ankles swelling, but for me, it's my hands and face. Sometimes I can look like I just had my wisdom teeth out again. I had to take all my rings off about a month ago because they were cutting off my circulation! I have felt so bare without my wedding rings that I finally took a ring in to be sized up so I could wear it on my ring finger as a substitute-it has to be sized up 3 sizes!! This week, I have had some swelling of my lower legs and feet, it's so not fun and uncomfortable!! I don't know how I'm going to make another 2 months. As I write this though, I am soaking my feet in a foot spa and it helps a bit:) I was able to get my mind off my swelling body for a little while today while we caught up with Beth and Dave Krieg for lunch while they were in town. Oh man, it was so nice:) The food and company was excellent. They are so fantastic with Avery, I cannot wait until they are parents themselves-they will be excellent:) Sadly, I have no pictures because I didn't have my camera-grrrr-because there were some cute moments! Avery took everything out of aunt Beth's purse and handed most items to her...and while on uncle Dave's lap, she stirred his iced tea for him and then made him take drinks! Not 5 minutes after we left the restaurant, Avery fell asleep in the car-very precious. I'm happy to report that during our 2 hr. lunch, she was pretty darn good-yay!! The rest of the weekend will be spent-again-cleaning...we really need to work on setting up the nursery now that Avery's new room is almost complete!
On a side note: If you could say a prayer for Beth, her grandma and family as her grandma has bypass surgery on Tuesday.
This is Avery and her "touchdown" pose. Aunt Beth taught her this back in October and she still remembers! Now she likes to spike her football and make the touchdown gesture while staring at you until you yell touchdown!!

Sorry to hear about all the swelling... I heard about it too - but never had any myself- hope it goes down and doesn't get any worse over the next two months. I feel you about the pictures thing- I have become so bad with it!! So at least you're not alone!
Hang in there Steph- hopefully the next few months will go by quickly!
Just keeping focusing on your baby boy.
Is there anything they can give you for the swelling if it makes you feel that uncomfortable? I don't reguraly work OB so it has been awhile since my clinicals in grad school....
Sorry about the swelling. I was pretty puffy right before Genevieve was born. Go easy on your salt intake, drink lots of water (I know it seems counterintuitive, and if at any point you get bad headaches or blurry vision, let your OB know. Do you have high blood pressure?
Yay for successful lunch outings. GLad you got to meet up with friends and enjoy the meal.
Hope you guys have a great week!
Oh, I don't know...I'm in this week for my 32 week check up and we'll see what they have to say about the swelling. My bp has been good so I guess they haven't been too concerned. It's just such a pain!
Oh, I totally hear you about being blah!! I feel like my body hasn't caught up at all since we left for ND a few weeks ago. All I want to do is nap or sit on the couch and pray that Elizabeth wants to color or read while I lay there....lol.
Although today I drank lots of coffee so now I'm just buzzing...don't recommend that either!
So glad you had fun with Beth and Dave- I miss them! (and you guys!). I love how Avery took apart Beth's purse- that's classic;)
Love,
C:)
